Can Content Marketing Work Without Paid Ads?

I’ve seen this question come up here before (including in the thread on qa.vbtask.trade/content-15), but I think it deserves a fresh look — especially with how fast organic reach is changing.
Organic content can absolutely bring traffic, leads, and brand awareness if you’re in a niche with low competition, you’re solving a specific problem, and you’re willing to play the long game. Search engines and social platforms will reward strong, high‑intent content, but they won’t magically give you reach in crowded markets. That’s where paid support becomes less of a “nice to have” and more of a growth accelerator. Paid ads don’t replace content — they amplify it and help you scale once organic hits its ceiling.
Curious how others here balance organic vs. paid. Do you treat ads as optional, or as a built‑in part of your content strategy?
